Treasure Box
This is a great project to use when you have a pirate party or just for some fun crafting !

To complete this project you will need the following supplies
Wooden Treasure Box ( You can find these at craft stores & some dollar stores )
Paintbrush
Gold Acrylic Paint
Thick White Craft Glue
Beads, Shells, Plastic Skulls or Other Decorations
Gold Glitter
Gold Braid ( or fancy gold ribbon in a braided pattern )
Glitter Paint Pens
Jewels
Instructions :
1. Paint the entire box, inside and out with the gold acrylic paint. Let it dry completely.
2. Plan your design before you start. For the top cover with a thin layer of glue, then place beads, shells, skulls etc. where you want them on top of the glue. Sprinkle the rest with gold glitter. Shake off the extra glitter
3. Cut two pieces of gold braid trim to go around the box lid and bottom. Glue them in place.
4. Add decorative lines on box sides with glitter paint pens. Let the glue and paint dry.
5. Fill the box with jewels to look like valuable treasure ( you can find the cutest little plastic gems at dollar stores ).
6. These great little treasure boxes can be used as decorations and can even be given out with the party favors inside after the party.
