Pop Rocks
YOU WILL NEED:
2 Cups Of Water
4 Cups of Sugar
Food Coloring
Wax Paper
Spoon
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Place 2 Cups Of Water in a Large Saucepan
2. Add 4 Cups of Sugar and stir to dissolve the sugar
3. Place saucepan on the stove and heat to medium high
4. Stir the solution until all of the sugar is dissolved
5. If you have food coloring, add that - stir again
6. Remove from heat. Pour the liquid into a tupperware container
7. Crystals will form on the surface in a few days - do not remove. Sink them to the bottom with a spoon. This allows the evaporation process to continue
8. In 7 days or so the bottom of your container will be covered with a thick layer of rock candy.
9. When the surface of the crystals is dry, push on the sides and bottom of the plastic bowl, and the crystals will break into chunks.
10. Put the crystals on a piece of wax paper and let them dry completely. The more they dry, the more they sparkle !
