CAUTION : Do not eat these ! They are not poison but they act as a laxative ! Yuck !
This recipe makes colorful, perfumed bath salts ( these make fantastic gifts ) Put them in a pretty clear jar with a ribbon - for an even cooler effect layer different colors of crystals.
Bath Crystals
YOU WILL NEED:
Epsom Salts
Ziploc Sandwich Bags ( For Each Color You Are Making )
Perfume
Food Coloring
Wax Paper
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Pour epsom salts into a plastic bag ( as much as you need to fill your jar ). If you are making multiple colors divide the epsoms into different bags for each color.
2. Add a few drops of food coloring
3. Seal the sandwich bag, shake and knead the bag with your fingers to mix the color
4. Open the bag and add one or two drops of perfume - seal and knead the bag again
5. Empty the bag of crystals onto a piece of wax paper and let them dry for no more than 10 minutes
6. Put the crystals into the jar.
7. Decorate the jar ( use labels, stickers, fabric, ribbon, gems or anything you like
